Printable Origami Fold Notes for Kids
Fold a piece of paper one step at a time. Before each crease, note which edges or corners you lined up. Then write or draw what changed when you opened the paper. Your notes can help you try a tricky fold again.
Try a practice fold first
Start with a plain rectangular scrap of paper placed wide side across. Bring the left short edge to the right short edge and line up the corners. Press the fold, then open the paper flat: you should see a crease down the middle. You could write “short edges met” and “middle crease appeared” in a practice row below. This is a warm-up, not a step copied from a published origami guide.

If a crease is not where you wanted it
Open the paper gently and smooth it flat. Find the last corners or edges you meant to match, line them up again and press a new crease. Write what you changed in the next blank row; a faint old crease is okay while you practice.
