Ingredients

  • 3 large flour tortillas
  • 6 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • 6 slices sliced deli turkey
  • 3 slices sliced cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup baby spinach leaves

Steps

  1. 1

Lay one tortilla flat on a clean cutting board.

  2. 2

Spread a thin, even layer of cream cheese over the whole tortilla.

  3. 3

Layer two slices of turkey, one slice of cheese, and a few spinach leaves on top.

  4. 4

Starting from one edge, roll the tortilla up tightly into a log.

  5. 5

Repeat with the remaining tortillas and fillings.

  6. 6

Wrap each rolled tortilla in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for at least 15 minutes so the pinwheels hold together.

  7. 7

Unwrap and slice each roll into pinwheels about 1 inch thick with a butter knife (an adult can help if the roll is firm).

  8. 8

Arrange the pinwheels on a plate, cut side up, and serve.

Kids can help with:

  • Spreading the cream cheese onto the tortilla
  • Layering the turkey, cheese, and spinach
  • Rolling the tortilla up and slicing it into pinwheels

Tips & Notes

  • Chilling the rolled tortilla before slicing is the key step - it keeps the pinwheels from unrolling.
  • Swap in ham or a plant-based deli slice, and any mild cheese, to suit what your kids like.
