Origami: Bookmark Corner
A classic, kid-friendly origami project — no scissors or glue needed, just one square sheet of paper. Print this page for step-by-step folding instructions.
- Start with a square sheet of paper, colored side down. Fold it in half corner to corner to make a triangle.
- Turn the triangle so the long folded edge is along the bottom and the single point faces up.
- Fold the bottom-left corner up and across so its tip touches the top point, making a flap that leans over the middle — this becomes one of the bookmark’s front pockets.
- Fold the bottom-right corner up the same way so its tip also touches the top point, overlapping the first flap — you should now see two triangular flaps crossing in front, each open at the bottom like a little pocket.
- Fold the very top point down and tuck it behind the two crossed flaps, then crease it flat — this locks everything together so the pockets stay closed.
- Slide one corner of a book page into the two front pockets to hold your place!
