Ingredients
- 1 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup mixed berries (or other fruit), chopped
- ½ cup granola
- 1 tsp honey (optional, skip for under 1 year olds)
Steps
- 1
Wash the berries and pat them dry, then chop any larger fruit into small pieces.
- 2
Spoon a layer of yogurt into the bottom of a clear cup or glass.
- 3
Add a layer of fruit on top of the yogurt.
- 4
Sprinkle a layer of granola over the fruit.
- 5
Repeat the layers - yogurt, fruit, granola - until the cup is full.
- 6
Drizzle with a little honey if using, then serve right away so the granola stays crunchy.
Kids can help with:
- Washing and (with a butter knife) chopping soft fruit
- Spooning and layering the yogurt, fruit, and granola
- Drizzling on the honey at the end
Tips & Notes
- Build parfaits just before eating - granola gets soggy if it sits in the yogurt too long.
- Use a clear cup so kids can see and admire their own layers.
Contains: dairy, tree nuts (check granola ingredients). Always check ingredient labels and adjust for your child's own allergies and dietary needs.
