Make Your Own Connect the Dots for Kids
Invent a dot-to-dot for a friend. Use the empty frame below for up to 12 numbered dots, then let someone connect them in order to discover your shape. This is a new drawing, not an answer to a puzzle on this site.
Plan a path, then hide it
- Lightly sketch a simple shape on scrap paper. Pick 3 to 12 corners or turns for dots; leave room for their numbers.
- Copy only the dots into the blank frame. Number them 1, 2, 3 and so on in the order your pencil should travel. Keep nearby dots far enough apart to tell them apart.
- Erase any light guide lines between the dots. Give the unjoined puzzle to a friend to test: can they follow every number without guessing where to start?
Original mini-example: start at 1, go down to 2, then up to 3 to draw a V. The sample is separate from your blank frame; make your own route instead of copying it.

Creator check: Are all numbers in order? Is each dot easy to see? Did you erase the connecting lines before sharing?
