How to Play Mad Libs for Kids
Mad Libs makes a new story from words you choose. Ask someone for each kind of word before reading the story, or write them down yourself without peeking at the ending. There are no right or wrong answers.
Try three word prompts
Think of an adjective (a describing word), a noun (here, an animal) and a verb (an action). Write your choices in the numbered Word Bank below, then copy each word into the matching blank in this original story. Keep the story covered until you have picked all three words.
At the zoo, a adjective noun decided to verb beside the pond.
Word Bank
Fill in a word for each blank below before you read the story out loud.

A completed example
For one possible result, try sleepy, penguin and dance in that order.
